smell the sea and feel the sky

Today I got told which ship I've been assigned to, which means I know where I'm sailing to for the next 7 months! Most of my time will be spent in Asia, and then the Bahamas (see route below). I'm excited to be seeing so much of the world in such a short space of time!

There’s going to be a pretty hefty time difference and Internet is charged by the hour so I decided to get this blog started as a way of keeping in touch with people back home, nothing worse than sending a message to someone then going to sleep, they reply and go to sleep, and so on. I learnt this first hand from emailing with the recruiters for this cruise line, boy that was a drawn-out process! Luckily some of the other crew have been giving me advice and answers to my many, many questions, so I got there in the end, (Thanks guys!!) but that's generally the plan with this blog situation.

Now, how to pack 7 months of life into 2 suitcases...

Breakdown of where I'm going first:

Feb/March: Thailand, Singapore

April: Malaysia, Thailand, India, Dubai, Egypt

May: Israel, Greece, Spain, Gibraltar, Madeira

June: Bahamas
